A rare and unusual plant. It’s natural range is a tiny area of windswept limestone cliffs at the very southern tip of Madagascar. It’s name refers to this location – the Cap Sainte-Marie nature reserve. This species is grave danger of extinction in it’s natural habitat.
This Euphorbia grows prostate creating a natural bonsai form with an attractive caudex.
These examples were grown in nearly full sun in California which gives a look close to their appearance in habitat. They will take on a darker, plumper appearance if pampered. They are easy to grow in a small pot, do your research online to achieve the look you would prefer for this plant.
All Euphorbias contain irritating white sap, use caution.
