Bombax ellipticum is a deciduous, caudex-forming tree with a naturally ornamental appearance that grows well in containers and is well suited to Bonsai.

Prefers full sun to light shade. Water regularly during growing season and withhold water during winter dormancy when the plant is typically leafless.
